We are seeking an experienced Supplier Development / SQIP Engineer to support supplier improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain & Quality Management (SCQM) domain. The role focuses on industrial performance development, EN9102 compliance, and supplier maturity strengthening across critical aerostructure components. This position supports long‑term supplier development programs (not recovery missions) and operates within the Supply Chain and Quality Improvement Program (SQIP) framework, working closely with Procurement, Engineering, and supplier teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, supplier quality, or industrial performance
  • Proven experience working with aerospace suppliers (Tier 1 / Tier 2)
  • Strong knowledge of: EN9102 (FAI / LAI)
  • Aerostructure manufacturing processes
  • Quality assurance and industrial performance metrics (QCD)
  • Ability to assess industrial process robustness and maturity
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
  • Strong analytical and root‑cause analysis skills
  • Structured, method‑driven approach to problem solving
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities
  • Able to influence suppliers without direct authority
  • Comfortable working in multicultural, multi‑site environments
  • Fully aligned with the mindset: Safety > Cleanliness > Quality > On‑Time Delivery > Productivity
  • Ability to empower and energize suppliers toward ownership of results

Nice To Haves

  • Direct exposure to aerospace OEM environments is strongly preferred
  • Experience with supplier development programs (SQIP, SVIP, or equivalent) is a strong advantage

Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment of SQIP projects with strategic and priority suppliers
  • Contribute to improving supplier quality, delivery, cost, and process robustness
  • Apply structured improvement methodologies (LBIP / LBIP+)
  • (As‑Is → RCA → To‑Be → Action Plan → Pilot → Deployment)
  • Support Lean Supply Chain, sub‑tier management, and de‑risking initiatives
  • Perform LAI (Line Acceptance Inspections) on behalf of Procurement, under supervision
  • Review and assess LAI reports through desktop analysis
  • Support FAI planning in accordance with EN9102 Chapter 4.2
  • Verify supplier evidence of conformity per EN9102 Chapter 4.5
  • Coordinate with Engineering Teams to validate selected key characteristics
  • Support LAI securization activities in collaboration with transferring plants
  • Support SCQM / Head of Project in data collection, monitoring, and reporting
  • Prepare and support SQIP Days and supplier workshops
  • Act as an interface between internal stakeholders, suppliers, and sub‑tiers
  • Ensure alignment with supplier requirements and industrial standards
