About The Position

As a recognized industry/subject matter expert, uses extensive industry expertise to partner with sales and commercial BU’s to develop strategic account plans by creating client solutions. Provides industry expertise of tools, technologies, and best practice processes in a consultative manner to client base for purpose of assessing client needs and recommending solutions to unique problems. Uses knowledge base gained through client in conjunction with industry expertise to formulate a set of recommendations. Creates presentations and reports to deliver industry assessment recommendations to client executives. Interacts in a consultative manner with all levels of management at client sites, in writing and on the phone. Has in in-depth knowledge of clients’ business model, technology platform, products and services used, contractual agreements, fee structure key business contacts and volume/revenue statistics. Proactively monitors market trends, in order to assess business impact. Establishes strategic plans to seek out new opportunities. Identifies new areas of opportunity by analyzing technology, customer requirements, workflows, market trends and competitive gaps. Prepares market presentations for management to support business plans and strategy. As an industry expert, sought out for advice and consultation. Leads, participates, and presents values of solutions to key industry organizations, conferences, and forums. Supervision Comfortable with all aspects of the consulting lifecycle including: Innovation and Thought Leadership: Actively generates content within Bristlecone and in industry publications, events, etc. to showcase innovative and thought leading ideas in supply chain and logistics. Partners with marketing and branding to ensure expertise is positioned appropriately. Sales: support RFPs in a consulting-led environment; participate in orals presentations across an integrated team; collaborating with resources across consulting, OCM, and the solution teams for the proposed solution Delivery: Managing projects and across a portfolio of engagements; ensuring the consulting team for an engagement delivers against their committed deliverables with high client satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, statistics, or related field
  • 10 -15+ years of consulting and/or experience in directly related fields including planning, supply planning, demand planning, predictive demand sensing, inventory optimization, S&OP, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience with Big 4, Accenture, and IBM.
  • Strongly prefer candidates with Consumer Products and/or Life Sciences (pharma, biotech, med tech)

Responsibilities

  • Should have deep process expertise in planning including areas like Master Production Scheduling, Capacity Planning, Production Scheduling, inventory optimization, etc.
  • Must have a background and proven results in strategy and business consulting.
