About The Position

The Supply Chain Performance Improvement Analyst is responsible for assessing, identifying, and implementing performance improvement opportunities throughout the end-to-end supply chain of the Johns Hopkins Health System. The position will leverage project management skills and software to assess and achieve implementation goals associated with identified opportunities. The position will be responsible for the development of the scope and the identification of sequential steps to implement and achieve desired performance improvement opportunities. The position will also be accountable for the development of cost-benefit analyses for identified opportunities by leveraging analytical and communication skills, including but not limited to statistical analyses, market research of operational benchmarks, and engagement with industry thought leaders to identify and develop key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure the impact of implemented performance improvement measures. The position will be held accountable for the development of timelines and achievement of implementation dates by leveraging project planning software, including Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Smartsheet. From time to time, the position may also be responsible for completing and maintaining routine activities for the department, including support of Procurement, Sourcing, and Logistics & Distribution activities. The position will engage with cross-functional groups of stakeholders to ensure an understanding of organizational dependencies and to minimize disruption in the achievement of the performance improvement plan. The position develops presentations for communication that effectively outline performance improvement opportunities and steps needed to achieve them.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
  • Applicants must have at least two years of work experience or residency/externship experience in the supply chain or healthcare-related field, or applicants with a Master’s Degree (MBA, MPH, MHA) must have at least one year of work experience in the supply chain or healthcare-related field.

  • A master’s degree in Business, Health Administration, or another relevant field is preferred.
