Ensure parts supply at the right time, right place, quantity, and quality for continuous production. Focus on Material Control, Transportation Control, and Delivery Assurance. Act as the gatekeepers of the supply chain for the ultimate driving machine Address areas of uncertainty for material control such as forecast errors, yield losses, timing issues of demand and supply (random lead times). Find alternatives to the current solution, which is carrying safety stock. Develop concepts and IT solutions to support essential daily tasks. Create and maintain visualization tools and material planning dashboards. Optimize processes for the availability of materials, components, and products for planned production and customer delivery. Define the lowest possible level of inventory. Understand the uncertainty of the MRP in the body shop area and find improvements to increase planning efficiencies. Support process mapping of the business and documentation of standard processes. Use resources to support overall planning activities. Lead team meetings and deliver presentations.
