About The Position

Summary The Supply Chain / Operations Finance Analyst is a hands-on plant finance role responsible for accurate and timely recording of material, inventory, and logistics transactions across operational systems. This position partners closely with the Materials & Inventory team, Warehouse and Logistics, and the broader Operations organization to reconcile physical movements with system transactions and financial records. In addition, this role supports product costing, routine reporting, and ad-hoc analysis to help Operations and Finance make accurate day-to-day decisions. The analyst reconciles operational systems (FASCOR, Vincinity) and Great Plains, the company’s system of record, helping resolve transactional issues so inventory and financial reporting remain accurate. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in operations finance, supply chain finance, inventory accounting, or manufacturing analytics preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Great Plains experience is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or shop-floor systems such as FASCOR and Vincinity preferred.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; ability to work with large, transactional datasets.
  • Working knowledge of inventory accounting, product costing, and manufacturing cost structures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across operations, warehouse, logistics, engineering, and finance.
  • Clear communicator capable of translating operational activity into financial insight.
  • Self-directed, organized, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with strong process orientation.

  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and validate material movements including receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and shipments.
  • Ensure all material transactions are accurately captured and recorded in FASCOR, Vincinity, and ultimately reconciled into Great Plains.
  • Partner with Materials and Inventory teams to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and transactional errors.
  • Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation to system balances.
  • Perform regular reconciliations between operational systems and Great Plains to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Identify root causes of data mismatches and work with cross-functional teams to reduce repeat errors.
  • Maintain documentation of transaction flows, controls, and reconciliation processes.
  • Assist with system updates and process improvements related to inventory and material accounting, including testing and documentation support as needed.
  • Support product costing activities, including standard cost maintenance, cost roll-ups, and variance analysis.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Materials teams to ensure bills of material, routings, and labor standards are accurately reflected in costing systems.
  • Analyze material, labor, overhead, and scrap variances; summarize key drivers for the Plant Controller and Operations leadership.
  • Assist the Plant Controller with month-end close activities related to inventory valuation, WIP, and cost of goods sold.
  • Provide transaction support and reporting to Warehouse, Logistics, and Operations teams.
  • Ensure logistics transactions (shipping, receiving, freight, and transfers) are properly recorded and reflected financially.
  • Support operational initiatives by providing financial insight into inventory levels, material usage, and throughput.
  • Maintain and distribute routine reports and KPIs related to inventory accuracy, material usage, cost performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support operations performance, continuous improvement initiatives, and management decision-making.
  • Support audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements related to inventory and operational finance.
