About The Position

Amentum is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Supply Chain Manager in the Army’s Product Manager XM30, Program Executive Office (PEO) Ground Combat Systems (GCS) office. This on-site position at Detroit Arsenal is integral to the beginning of the Army’s newest weapon system, the XM30 System. The role involves connecting with team members and customers to plan the future for the XM30 System while improving efficiency across all aspects of its supply chain. Key responsibilities include developing the planning, managing, controlling, directing, and coordinating of logistics for XM30. The manager will coordinate with internal and external teammates to develop customer procurement requirements, working with internal customers, suppliers, external customers, and program business leadership to meet goals and communicate performance. The role also entails coordinating with procurement specialists, project managers, and vendors to ensure timely processing and tracking of documents and final product delivery through the acquisition process, incorporating changes into existing documentation, and maintaining contract files for procurement requests, funding documents, formal orders, contracts, and official correspondence. Furthermore, the position requires analyzing available data to improve requirements gathering, understanding of pricing, and purchasing decisions, performing planning on acquisition approaches for complex and first-time procurements, participating in the structuring of RFPs for technology procurements, developing RFP and contract documentation, and creating requisite planning and justification documentation for procurement approvals. The manager will also support and defend procurements to approval authorities, coordinate with different DoS locations to forecast yearly requirements, and assist with asset management duties, including annual inventory procedures for associated offices, supporting internal ‘office’ asset management processes, hand receipts, tracking items, and assisting with warehouse asset management procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, and at least 3-5 years of experience in logistics, procurement, and/or supply chain management OR; an Associate’s degree, and at least 6-8 years of logistics experience, 5 of which are in logistics, procurement, and/or supply chain management
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain design concepts, analyze and solve problems, prepare presentations, and receive feedback
  • Excellent collaboration, multi-tasking and communication skills
  • Ability to plan and organize work effectively

Responsibilities

  • Develop the planning, managing, controlling, directing, and coordinating of logistics for XM30.
