About The Position

This is a high-impact opportunity to steer product success and shape the growth trajectory of a dynamic organization. We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to orchestrate our extensive and rapidly expanding catalog of over 1,000 SKUs. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the strategic architect of our supply network and the driver of operational efficiency. Working in lockstep with the CEO, Chemist, and Senior Operations Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end supply chain lifecycle-from forecasting demand and strategic global sourcing to rigorous vendor negotiations and production scheduling. As the definitive custodian of our 1,000+ SKU catalog, you will ensure that inventory levels are optimized through data-driven replenishment strategies and meticulous documentation. Your success will be fueled by a proactive approach to logistics risk mitigation, cross-functional synergy, and an obsession with supply chain resilience, offering a platform to make a definitive mark on our company's continued expansion.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, Product Development, or a related role within a company managing a significant SKU count (ideally 500+ SKUs).
  • Overall strong understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Proven track record in supplier relationship management, including sourcing, negotiation, vetting (financial, operational, quality), and ongoing performance management.
  • Exceptional project management skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities: Proven capability to secure favorable terms and build lasting supplier partnerships.
  • Analytical prowess: Proficient in leveraging product data, sales results, and market insights to drive strategic decisions and inform demand planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to clearly articulate complex information, influence stakeholders, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous in tracking supplies, managing product data, and ensuring accuracy across all product information.
  • Problem-solving aptitude: Capable of identifying issues and advocating for effective solutions.
  • Experience in demand planning and inventory forecasting, working closely with with cross-functional teams
  • Strong technical skills including inventory management platform experience and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strategic supplier relationships: Serve as the lead for our vendor network. You will implement a robust vetting process for onboarding-evaluating financial stability and operational excellence-while maintaining a rigorous re-evaluation schedule to ensure long-term compliance and quality.
  • Risk Mitigation & Resilience: Develop and implement contingency plans for high-demand or critical-path chemicals to ensure business continuity amidst global supply chain disruptions.
  • Landed Cost Analysis: Conduct comprehensive total-cost-of-ownership evaluations, factoring in international logistics, duties, and warehousing costs to optimize profit margins for the Colombia and global markets.
  • Vendor Performance Benchmarking: Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, focusing on lead-time accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and quality compliance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Global Logistics Coordination: Manage international shipping complexities and customs documentation to ensure the seamless flow of goods between global suppliers and regional hubs.
  • Strategic Buffer Management: Determine optimal safety stock levels and reorder points for high-volume SKUs to balance working capital with the goal of "on-time, every time" delivery.
  • Champion customer satisfaction: Serve as the vital link between Customer Relations, Quality, and our suppliers. You will advocate for the customer by translating feedback into vendor-side improvements, coordinating with the Quality team to resolve root-cause issues, and ensuring internal stakeholders are fully briefed on resolution paths.
  • Demand Planning: Partner with Inventory and Finance to build sophisticated forecasting models and lean purchasing strategies. You will ensure optimal onsite stock levels by blending sales data with market intelligence.
  • Inform marketing strategies: Leverage product data analytics, including sales results, knowledge of global trends and disruptions, and market information, to provide insights and direction to the marketing and product teams for building effective campaigns and launch strategies.
