Amazon is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to identify, develop, and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements redefining customer experience standards in our North American transportation network. This network encompasses all operations delivering shipments from fulfillment centers and third-party locations to customers worldwide. As a Supply Chain Manager on the Planning Team, this role involves analyzing delivery performance across the North American transportation network, identifying improvement opportunities, and taking business improvement programs from inception to successful implementation. This includes building stakeholder relationships, addressing transportation network design, and developing innovative programs to drive improvements in transportation processes. In a typical day, the manager will review input submissions from Last Mile or Middle Mile partners, validate data accuracy, flag inconsistencies, and collaborate with network design and carrier management teams to align on planning assumptions. They will use modeling tools for scenario analyses for long-term carrier allocation, prepare summaries for senior leadership, participate in cross-functional planning syncs, and work with product teams to refine planning tools. The role requires balancing strategic thinking with hands-on data work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. The North America Transportation Execution, Long Term Planning team is responsible for shaping the future of Amazon's transportation network, combining data-driven analysis with strategic planning to optimize shipment movement. The team operates at the intersection of operations, technology, and carrier management, focusing on delivering programs that improve customer experience at scale, valuing ownership, intellectual curiosity, and a bias for action.
