About The Position

We are currently looking for an Analytics Intern to join our team in Smyrna TN. A Day in the Life: Utilize data analysis in conjunction with supply chain and logistics knowledge to create data models, evaluate simulations, perform cost studies, and develop strategies for the future. Interface with many supply chain functions with the opportunity learn more about each department supporting the manufacturing facilities. Take advantage of opportunities through structured amenities such as plant tours, networking with other interns, meeting with Nissan leadership, and job shadowing with other supply chain teams. Perform a Kaizen, or continuous improvement, initiative delivering a proposal and/or implementing a recommended improvement.

Requirements

  • Currently be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management or business Analytics from an accredited university
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
  • Be self-motivated, willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skill sets
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Have a data mindset with some experience in data analysis
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Must possess advanced level Excel skills including complex formulas and simple macros
  • Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be required to provide proof of employment eligibility at the time of hire; Nissan uses E-Verify to validate employment eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Tableau, SQL, R, and Python is advantageous
