About The Position

Under the general supervision of Brown University Health Supply Chain Logistics Managers, Supply Chain Logistics Lead coordinates activities and functions of the Supply Chain Procedural, Distribution and Central Supply Technicians throughout Brown University Health. Orients, trains, assigns work, maintains work schedules, and evaluates performance of staff in keeping with established policies, procedures, and standards of practice in their respective areas of responsibility. Participates in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, process improvements and budgets for the assigned Supply Chain area. Prepares and maintains records, files, and requisitions. text-align: justify· Assists employees with prioritization and problem resolution as issues occur, such as authorizing urgent requisitions, accommodating emergency or priority requests, or adjusting assignments text-align: justify· Initiates structured par level and inventory management activities on an at least semi-annual basis for all assigned supply areas. Works with staff and clinical management to adjust. text-align: justify· Participates in the recruitment, retention, performance enhancement, and competency assessment of staff in collaboration with Supply Chain Logistics Manager. Ensures compliance to established standards, policies, and procedures. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required and a minimum of 4 years of experience in related healthcare or warehouse field.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and inventory management.
A high level of interpersonal skills to effectively represent Brown University Health and Supply Chain in interaction with all levels of personnel within and outside the organization.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn necessary supporting information system.
Sits, stands, and walks intermittently throughout the day.
Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and/or pull moderately heavy supplies, materials, and equipment.
Some exposure to the outside elements possible and some heat and cold discomfort.
Exposure to contaminated items, strong detergents, and antiseptic solutions.
Any potential hazard is minimized by adherence to safety procedures and the use of protective clothing and equipment as directed by department.
