About The Position

Data Analysis & Insights Generation Conduct deep-dive analyses on logistics operations data to identify cost drivers, service gaps, efficiency opportunities, and risk areas across transportation modes (ocean, air, ground, rail). Perform root-cause analysis on logistics exceptions, delays, and cost variances, providing leadership with clear explanations and data-backed recommendations. Build and maintain analytical models in Excel, Python, or SQL to support scenario planning, freight benchmarking, and lane-level performance analysis. Synthesize large, multi-source datasets into concise, meaningful narratives that highlight the "so what" behind the numbers for non-technical stakeholders. Monitor key logistics metrics and proactively flag anomalies, trends, or emerging issues to leadership before they become operational problems. Executive & Leadership Data Support Serve as the primary analyst supporting leadership data requests—triaging, prioritizing, and fulfilling ad hoc analytical asks from Directors, VPs, and the Chief Supply Chain Officer with speed and accuracy. Prepare executive-ready data packages, briefing decks, and slide materials for business reviews, QBRs, Board presentations, and leadership offsites. Partner directly with logistics leaders to understand their strategic questions and proactively build self-serve reporting tools that reduce dependency on ad hoc requests over time. Develop and maintain a standardized logistics metrics glossary and reporting governance framework to ensure consistency of definitions across teams and stakeholders. Facilitate data storytelling—transforming raw analytical findings into compelling narratives with appropriate visualizations, context, and recommended actions. Data Governance & Quality Own data quality monitoring for key logistics datasets, establishing validation checks, alerting processes, and remediation workflows to maintain data integrity. Document data sources, transformation logic, report definitions, and refresh schedules to ensure operational continuity and knowledge transfer. Partner with IT and data governance teams to ensure logistics data assets comply with enterprise data standards, privacy requirements, and audit controls. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with supply chain planning, procurement, finance, and operations teams to integrate logistics data with broader business analytics initiatives. Support digital transformation programs (Control Tower, Digital Twin, AI workflows) by providing analytical expertise, data validation, and reporting infrastructure. Train and enable logistics operations team members to leverage self-serve Power BI reports and reduce reliance on manual data pulls. Power BI Report Development & Management Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports that provide leadership with real-time and historical visibility into logistics KPIs—including freight spend, on-time delivery, carrier performance, transit times, and inventory flow. Develop and manage the Global Logistics reporting suite, ensuring reports are accurate, refreshed on schedule, visually intuitive, and aligned to leadership requirements. Implement best-in-class data modeling practices in Power BI, including star schema design, DAX measures, calculated columns, and row-level security (RLS) for appropriate data access. Work with IT and data engineering teams to establish reliable data pipelines feeding Power BI from source systems including EDW, TMS, carrier portals, and third-party visibility platforms. Continuously improve report usability and performance based on stakeholder feedback, usage analytics, and emerging Power BI capabilities.
