TEAM OVERVIEW: Our Tracy, CA logistics site is supported by a small, dedicated group of about ten Applied Materials employees who work on‑site alongside our third‑party logistics (3PL) partner. The 3PL team includes roughly 250 employees who manage the day‑to‑day warehouse and kitting operations. Together, we focus on resolving operational issues quickly while also driving process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial engineering, Supply chain or Operations management
  • GPA 3.0 or above preferred
  • SAP
  • Geek+
  • Celonis

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing current warehouse processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Conducting time studies, work sampling, and process observations
  • Mapping workflows using tools such as process maps and value stream maps
  • Assisting in the design and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Supporting Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen improvement initiatives
  • Collecting, validating, and analyzing operational data (productivity, cycle time, error rates, etc.)
  • Identifying waste (motion, waiting, overprocessing, inventory, etc.) and proposing solutions
  • Testing and documenting process improvements and best practices
  • Training or assisting staff on new or improved procedures
