About The Position

DEXTER INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW: Dexter Magnetic Technologies offers a rewarding and structured internship program where interns will work on industry projects setting them on an accelerated career path. The purpose of a Dexter internship is to provide students with the opportunity to gain “real life” business acumen within the Magnetics Industry. Gain hands-on product experience while working on challenging projects, networking with professionals, and learning from some of the brightest minds in business. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN AN INTERNSHIP AT DEXTER? Work on projects that are related to your areas of interest and study with a high level of autonomy and ownership. These projects are designed to bring value to our business. Dexter will provide weekly trainings that will be delivered by our experienced business leaders to improve your business acumen. Interns will also be provided with personal development training and feedback. Our internship program is diverse across functions and the group of interns will be regularly interacting. Each intern is partnered with an experienced peer as a mentor. Interns are included in company events and receive paid holidays. Our interns who perform well are considered for future internship opportunities as well as full-time employment after graduation. Our interns will be expected to work onsite at our manufacturing facility throughout the summer to collaborate with team members and peers. Interns in the Summer of 2026 will experience our high-tech facility in Elk Grove Technology Park.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management or related filed and be an incoming Junior or Senior Fall 2026.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Exposure to ERP / MRP methodology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data analysis and reporting related to inventory, demand, and supply.
• Support purchase order tracking, supplier follow-ups, and basic procurement activities.
• Help maintain master data in ERP systems.
• Assist with planning and scheduling activities to support customer demand.
• Support logistics coordination and delivery tracking.
• Participate in process improvement projects and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, and Quality.
• Prepare presentations and summaries for supply chain leadership.
• Exposure to ERP/MRP systems.
• Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Hands-on experience with data-driven decision-making.
• Participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
