As a key player on the team, the Logistics Intern will be exposed to several core competencies within our Logistcs team job function. This is a hybrid role based out of Northbrook, IL.

Requirements

Completion of junior year of undergraduate studies, with a concentration in Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong project management and time management capabilities, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables, are preferred.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience or exposure to Supply Chain or Finance functions is highly desirable.
Experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare and distribute the daily stock flow report to ensure inventory visibility and accuracy.
Compile and analyze the weekly import report to monitor inbound logistics performance.
Conduct market analysis to identify and evaluate potential carrier partners in California, Iowa, New York, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.
Monitor and track import shipments on a daily basis to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies.
Perform weekly audits of carrier invoices to validate billing accuracy and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
Provide analytical and administrative support for the annual transportation Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
Assist in managing and reviewing CPU (Cost Per Unit) allowances to ensure alignment with budgetary goals and operational needs.
