The Supply Chain department at ALAS manufacturing plant facilitates the flow of materials through data-driven inventory management and cross-functional coordination. Our team focuses on the following core functions: Operational Liaison: Acting as the primary interface between Procurement and Manufacturing to clarify material specifications and fulfillment needs. Inventory Control: Managing the end-to-end physical inventory and cycle count programs to ensure high levels of accuracy and reduce capital employed. Lean Implementation: Optimizing shop floor access and material flow through Kanban setups, location management, and warehouse storage solutions. Systems Management: Driving efficiency within Oracle ERP by maintaining item master data and streamlining manufacturing transaction processes. Data Analytics: Analyzing material transaction trends and variances to implement root cause corrective actions and minimize supply chain risks. This summer internship is designed for a Supply Chain student to gain hands-on experience in industrial inventory management and lean manufacturing. The intern will support the Supply Chain department in optimizing material flow, enhancing data accuracy within Oracle, and resolving storage constraints.
