About The Position

This supervised internship position is designed for a Supply Chain student interested in a career in the power industry, allowing them to apply and enhance their knowledge. The role requires working a normal day shift and will be based out of the Calpine Corporate Office in Houston, Texas, with a hybrid work arrangement as business needs allow.

Requirements

• Pursuing BS/BA with a major in Supply Chain, Supply Chain Management, or a related Business discipline.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States now and in the future.
• Full-time summer internship (June 1, 2026 through August 14, 2026).
• Excellent oral, written and communication/presentation skills.
• Has strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
• Collaborates well with cross-functional group.
• Good organization skills and attention to details are essential.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer GPA of 3.25 or higher.
• Prefer junior or senior standing with an expected graduation date between May 2027 and Dec 2028.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with presentations, assist with value reporting, compliance reporting, spend analytics, and base lining as assigned.
• Documentation and data management.
• Assist in the documentation of sourcing, contracts, and purchasing projects, supplier performance, and other requirements as assigned.
• Assist in the monitoring of supply markets and conduct market intelligence.
• Collaborates with supply chain personnel to assess emerging opportunities and new market developments.
• Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
• Other tasks as assigned.
