About The Position

We are seeking a "new-bee" to join our Quality Assurance team and assist with the management of our Quality Assurance tasks. Tasks could include: reviewing supplier documentation to aid in supplier approvals, organizing supplier information and certificates, or assisting the team with various tasks. GloryBee is a fast-paced work environment.
You'll work alongside 4 team members at our Production Facility located at 1680 Irving Road. A typical work week of the Supply Chain Documentation Specialist is Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Requirements

• Three years of demonstrated experience processing documentation in and administrative capacity; prior food industry experience preferred
• Intermediate level of proficiency in Word, Outlook, SharePoint (page formatting, templates creation, emailing, etc)
• Intermediate of proficiency in Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
• Prior MRP or ERP system knowledge; X3 highly desired
• Strong problem-solving and research skills
• Detail oriented
• Exceptional customer service and follow through
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work flow while allowing for flexibility
• Collaborative team player
• High school diploma required, 4 year degree in Food, Chemistry or Microbiology preferred

Nice To Haves

• Prior food industry experience preferred
• Prior MRP or ERP system knowledge; X3 highly desired
• 4 year degree in Food, Chemistry or Microbiology preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts a desk audit review of supplier documentation to aid in new supplier approvals
• Responsible for processing existing and new supplier approval workflow and updating/maintaining vendor master data
• Determines risk of supplier and existing ingredient by performing a supplier review, a risk-based hazard analysis and food safety plan review, working with supplier and Purchasing to mitigate risks
• Certificate of Analysis Creation as needed.
• Performs aseptic sampling of products and facilitates appropriate testing based on outlined specifications and priorities
• Performs organoleptic testing on products for flavor, odor, and other physical characteristics
