About The Position

Gotion, Inc. is building a state-of-the-art EV battery manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL. The plant will focus on cell, pack, and energy storage system production, creating approximately 2,600 full-time jobs and playing a strategic role in the U.S. EV battery supply chain. Lead and execute end-to-end supply chain strategy for the Manteno facility, including demand planning, procurement, inbound/outbound logistics, inventory management, warehousing, supplier relationships, and process improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
10–15 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, preferably in high-volume manufacturing or EV/automotive industries.
Experience managing global supply chains, sourcing strategy, logistics, and inventory management.
Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics.
Strong leadership, team development, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Willingness to be based in Manteno, IL, with occasional travel.

EV battery manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement supply chain strategy aligned with plant objectives.
Lead multi-functional teams in procurement, logistics, inventory control, warehousing, and supplier quality.
Manage domestic and global supplier relationships.
Oversee demand forecasting, MRP, safety stock levels, and inventory optimization.
Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective material flow.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping) to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and sustainability standards.
Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and finance teams to align supply chain with business goals.
Develop and manage departmental budgets and KPIs (inventory turns, supplier on-time performance, logistics cost per unit).
Mentor and develop supply chain team talent.
