About The Position

Supply Chain Director, Owatonna, MN. Position Summary (The Supply Chain Director will manage and improve the supply chain operations for Rise Modular, LLC). This role is responsible for optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, components, and finished products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction industry dynamics, manufacturing processes, and logistics management, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, cost reduction, and supplier relationship management. On-site at our Owatonna Office. Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm Salary Range - $130,000 - $140,000

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will be a rising Supply Chain leader with at least 5 years of experience in supply chain roles (with a focus on construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors) or similar business experience with increasing levels of responsibility and a demonstrated track record of success.
  • A proven ability (in managing large-scale supply chains, including procurement, logistics and inventory management) to analyze, develop and oversee supply chain programs in alignment with an organization’s long-term goals and strategy is necessary.
  • Experience in complex or large-scale manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have a team-oriented work style (excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.).
  • Strong strategic thinking and influence skills (interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with vendors, management and team members.) are required.
  • S/he will be collaborative by nature, model a healthy “player/coach” approach.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, engineering or a related field is required.
  • The ideal candidate will personally possess traits that are consistent with RISE’s values and leadership competencies.
  • The highest ethical standards are assumed.

Responsibilities

  • Execute effectively on RISE’s current Supply Chain operations (that supports the company’s construction manufacturing objectives) while assessing existing and desired functions to design and implement.
  • Lead efforts in supply chain forecasting and demand planning, considering project schedules and the market conditions.
  • Ensure cost-effective sourcing, procurement, and distribution of materials, equipment and components required for construction projects.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Build business cases that support strategic decision making and make recommendations to optimize the application of the strategic sourcing process.
  • Define and direct sourcing initiatives in alignment with strategic plans and supply chain strategies.
  • Establish strong and effective relationships with key suppliers (existing and new) to ensure quality, cost, delivery and productivity targets are met.
  • Champion superior customer service by ensuring a customer focused approach and strong service orientation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team, setting clear objectives and performance metrics.
  • Develop training and development programs to enhance team capabilities and ensure that employees are equipped to handle evolving supply chain demands.
  • Nurture a culture of continuous improvement, while encouraging team collaboration and innovation.
  • Work closely with Production, Project Management, Engineering, and Finance teams to align supply chain strategies with production and project schedules.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service to ensure customer expectations are met in terms of delivery timelines and quality standards.
