About The Position

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. This position will be located in Akron, Ohio at our FirstEnergy Headquarters As a Data Analyst in the Supply Chain Analytics group, you will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive procurement strategy, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a passion for data storytelling, and the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field with a minimum of 2-4 years relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience. The experience must be at a professional (exempt) level which also includes data reporting, analysis, and recommendations, along with a thorough understanding of the subject matter.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to write and execute complex queries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with teammates and positions at all levels
  • Strong Analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills are necessary with proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able to manage multiple and changing priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment ensuring aggressive deadlines are met
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience working with diverse teams and building an inclusive work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with data analytics tools like SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Data Modeling experience preferred, but not required
