About The Position

Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Transports medical supplies, mail, lab specimens, medical records, and linen between Prisma Health facilities in a timely manner. Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Operates the courier vehicle/truck in accordance with written policies/procedures and state and local laws. Transports all materials between facilities in a timely manner as scheduled. Follows chain of custody procedures and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Utilizes tracking technology and acquires necessary signatures upon delivery. Handles all materials with appropriate care, including temperature-sensitive items. In coordination with management, adjusts schedule to accommodate rush orders and other priorities. Responsible for routine maintenance of vehicles including gas, oil, air, etc. Reports service and repair requirements to Supervisor. Loads and unloads material transported and delivers to designated areas. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Education - High School diploma or equivalent or post-high school diploma / highest degree earned
  • Experience - No experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License and an acceptable motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) chart.
  • Ability to work in a busy, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including coworkers, management, and clinical partners.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English, both written and verbal, including active listening.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in customer service and problem solving.
