The Novelis North America Supply Chain team is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join their team! This is a contract position with an expected end date of June 30th, 2026. The work hours for this position are M-F 8am-5pm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar subject area with exposure to supply chain management through experience and/or course work
  • 2-5 years related experience in multinational manufacturing company, similar industry is preferred
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to connect with all levels in the organization and work in a team environment.
  • Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with customers (internal & external) through follow-up, understanding their needs and encouraging a synergetic relationship
  • Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior SAP Experience, particularly in APO strongly preferred
  • Ability to manipulate, cleanse and analyze large amounts of data in Excel
  • Ability to extract data from SAP APO, analyze the data in Excel and draw conclusions and recommendations
  • Proven understanding of SAP APO planning parameters and their interaction in the timely execution of orders.
  • Proven digital literacy. Proven understanding of Microsoft Office. Ability to learn new software programs quickly
  • Must also possess leadership skills to direct, lead and develop other personnel to accomplish personal, plant and corporate objectives
  • Ability to be onsite 5 days a week
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Trouble shoot issues planning reported by AMS, production center planners and tolling planners, for the assigned product line. Investigate the issue; resolve it or document it and intensify as appropriate.
  • Systematically review concordance between SAP data and S&OP. Partner with Facility Planning teams to assure efficient metal flow to our customers. Monitor order bookings versus S&OP and available capacity. Recommend lead time changes when appropriate.
  • Coordinate product route changes to react to unplanned outages or anticipated capacity constraints. Determine products involved. Initiate and supervise the associated MDM (Master Data Management) requests.
  • Supervise SAP alerts (surplus, late, early, etc.) to identify system issues and work with production center planners to take appropriate action.
  • Systematically review order status and metal position in SAP, from procurement of sheet ingot to delivery to customer, to ensure timely production. Take corrective action, coordinating with production center planners.
  • Initiate MDM requests to accurate process / order planning parameters (lot size, lead time, etc.)
  • Review lead time by product to ensure order alignment with manufacturing lead time
  • Review historical planned vs. actual lead time by products.
  • Work with facility planning teams to expedite any hot / rush orders through production
  • Partner with plant process/quality engineers to assure accuracy of master data parameters (e.g. equipment run rates, yields, etc.) for each product specifications.
