Training will occur Monday through Friday on 1st shift, 6am to 4:30pm for up to 2 months depending on your hire date. The actual 2nd shift hours will be 7:30pm to 6am. You must be available for the initial 1st shift training schedule and the 2nd shift work schedule when it begins after the training period. Key Accountabilities: Maintains Supplier QFL (Quality Feedback Loop) issues and creates notifications with pictures of the rejected part and communicates issues with suppliers in a timely manner Oversees parts in salvage area and begins the returns process to suppliers Initiates sort activity and performs dimensional /visual checks on non-conforming material using calipers, dial indicators, height gages, etc. Boroscopes engine critical components, performs dye penetrant test and scopes sealing surfaces for surface defects with proper documentation using PPT (Power Point Presentations). Assists Production Quality with performing root cause analyses and Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycles Contacts supplier to initiate part containment activities and obtains certified material for assembly under the guidance of the Supplier Quality Supervisor (SQS) Generates Quality notifications and lists details in SAP. Requests corrective actions from suppliers using 8D tool under the guidance of the SQS Communicates deviation notifications for defective parts with MTU FN Interprets Geometric Dimensional &Tolerance (GD&T) on very complex drawings and MTU specifications to perform measurements Performs supplier charge back for defective parts via SAP transactions with approval of Supplier Quality Engineers Provides training (e.g. SAP, Quality Systems, Salvage processes etc.) to personnel as specified in the departmental work instructions Closes open notifications in SAP after validating containment activities Performs dummy engine teardown during weekends Performs special projects as may be required and maintains on the job flexibility by providing support in quality, assembly and other production related areas Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
