About The Position

Supplier Quality Production Specialist Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Supplier Quality Production Specialist - Investigations (Level 3) to support the Supplier Quality Containment Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina. The primary focus of this role will be investigating, containing and obtaining comprehensive Root Cause and Corrective Action of defective supplier product escapes related to 787 program. In this role one will be expected to: collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, track and respond to supplier communication, and support Program BPS structure. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a role that required you to analyze and summarize raw data from various sources, and recommend executable action plans
  • 3+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action, Root Cause Corrective Actions
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Quality Process Improvements

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with (CMES) Common Manufacturing Execution System
  • Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment
  • Experience in performing and coaching root cause analysis and problem solving for all levels of leadership

Responsibilities

  • Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
  • Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes.
  • Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans.
  • Ability to apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  • Gathers data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes.
  • Assists with the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.
  • Assists in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for review.
  • Supports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolution.
  • Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminated.
  • Assists in the creation of reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal distribution.
  • Works under general supervision.
