Supplier Quality Engineer – Owatonna, MN or Faribault, MN – Onsite Make your mark at the world’s largest HVAC company Daikin Applied is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer! This position will manage the processes governing supplier quality. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will interface with the supplier base and cross functional business units to qualify new suppliers, new parts, resolve nonconformities, and drive continuous process and product improvements. Location: In office - Owatonna, MN or Faribault, MN What you will do: Assess supplier performance by performing analytical analysis. Report and communicate analysis findings with recommendations for improvement Establish regular contact mechanisms with current suppliers and potential new suppliers regarding projects, self-assessments, qualifications, and supplier on-site audit planning Assess potential new suppliers and making recommendations based on thorough vetting processes Issue supplier level corrective actions (SCARs) and assisting suppliers in implementing the corrective actions Monitor SCARs to ensure response and effectiveness Act as the representative for quality during new product development and supplier transition projects Identify PPAP levels and PPAP approval Manage multiple projects ensuring project milestones are achieved Supplier Change Request engagement as required to support supplier changes Other duties as required Some travel may be required up to 15% domestic and international What’s in it for you: The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best If you're looking for an engaging career with growth opportunities in a supportive environment, you'll love a career at Daikin Applied! Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in engineering or related technical field
  • 3+ Years of related experience or training
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or HVAC
  • Professional certifications such as ASQ, Six Sigma or similar

Responsibilities

  • Assess supplier performance by performing analytical analysis.

  • The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,200 - $120,700 in Minnesota.
  • The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
  • Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
