General Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting supplier quality and development, supplier strategic initiatives, assessing QMS systems, and proactively working on improved incoming components / material (reduced DPPM). Specific Duties: Work Cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and internal Quality Engineers to assess risk and approve suppliers for new and existing products Works with suppliers to ensure compliance to requirements, assessing risk, identification of critical characteristics, approval and verification of corrective and preventative actions Review and approve supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) for new part introduction and existing part revisions Facilitates Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements including, determination of control plans, process instructions, inspection and testing requirements, statistical process control (SPC), and calibration & measurement system analysis, PFMEAs Participate in the MRB process to identify, evaluate, and dispose of nonconforming product Lead root cause analysis and corrective action with suppliers Process Supplier Waivers Conduct timely and compliant supplier audits as required Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines Works with various quality systems: ISO 9001, AS 9100, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 Support Company's internal quality auditing process as required Strong knowledge of Six Sigma methodology, problem solving tools, and advocates utilization throughout the organization Travel to suppliers as needed (approximately 30%)
