About The Position

Top Gun Staffing Group is excited to partner with a global leader in advanced technology solutions to identify a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for a permanent, direct‑hire opportunity. Position Summary The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring suppliers meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance. This position is essential to maintaining the integrity of engineered systems used in high‑reliability applications, including subsea and defense.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality engineering.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, IPC‑A‑610, etc.).
• Proficiency in quality tools: FMEA, SPC, 8D, 5 Whys, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to supplier sites.

Nice To Haves

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience in electronics, subsea systems, aerospace, or defense manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality assurance strategies aligned with organizational quality systems.
• Lead the Supplier Quality Engineering team in executing quality initiatives.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and customer requirements.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes with suppliers.
• Review and approve supplier documentation, including First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAPs, and control plans.
• Monitor and report supplier performance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams during supplier selection and new product introductions.
• Maintain detailed records of supplier evaluations, audit findings, and performance.
