As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Terex/Genie, based in Redmond, WA, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing suppliers and sub-suppliers into compliance with our quality standards. Supplier Quality Engineer Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of the Terex Corporation, is headquartered in Redmond, WA with branch offices worldwide. We manufacture material lifts, aerial work platforms, trailer-mounted booms and light towers, telehandlers, scissor lifts and self-propelled telescopic and articulating booms. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1-5 years of experience related to manufacturing, quality systems, and/or supply chain
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office
  • Flexibility to work overtime, different shifts
  • Ability to read engineering schematics & drawings, including GD&T
  • Flexibility to fill other Quality engineer roles, such as customer or internal quality, on short- or long-term basis

  • Strong project management skills
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and methods
  • Understanding of quality tools and metrics
  • Understanding of mistake-proofing and Zero QC techniques
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, APQP
  • Prefer relevant experience with hydraulics, fabrication (machining/forming/welding), painting, assembly, and electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to measure parts using various metrology tooling

Responsibilities

  • Assist purchasing with supplier selection, development, and risk mitigation
  • Identify risk in supplier processes and assign action plans to improve supplier processes
  • Root cause identification through data analysis
  • Develop and implement improvements for short term and long term
  • Participate in continuous improvement of Supply Assurance program
  • Compile and analyze data
  • Multi-task and interact effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Teach and coach internal teams and supply base
