About The Position

The Electrical Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for managing different supplier locations and parts to ensure high quality products are produced and transported to Stellantis Assembly Plants. The engineer will provide on-site launch support to suppliers' facilities to ensure launch readiness as required, leading up to and including program launch. They will also be responsible for managing post launch continuous improvement activities and to provide on-site support at Stellantis assembly plants as required. The Engineer will also be responsible for working cross functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to ensure proper designs, suppliers and manufacturing processes are selected. Within our Supplier Quality Engineering role, we ask that our engineer's drive change within both plant manufacturing and component suppliers to resolve complex component issues. It is the engineer's responsibility to ensure component suppliers' processes are robust and capable to stay on track and manage key component quality milestones. Overall, the engineer will lead all problem-solving activities with internal and external organizations, manage warranty with their suppliers, and ensure best practices/lessons learned are applied across the several different vehicle programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or similar major)
  • A minimum of 5 years of automotive experience
  • Knowledge of industrial processes, preferably automotive
  • Knowledge of quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA2, SPC, MSA, CP)
  • Knowledge of problem-solving tools (8D, Red X, Six-Sigma)
  • Demonstrated leadership in problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills for presentations at any level of the organization
  • Ability to adapt and be a continuous learner
