About The Position

International has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Auditor to join our team! The Supplier Quality Auditor conducts supplier audits, according to VDA 6.3, to assess supplier capabilities for sourcing decisions and for suppliers not meeting performance requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of quality experience
  • OR
  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of quality experience
  • OR
  • At least 5 years of quality experience
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of science or higher (engineering, management, quality, technology)
  • Extensive experience (5+years) in quality assurance; preferably in the automotive industry
  • VDA6.3 certified auditor (successful completion of written and verbal exams)
  • ISO 19011:2018 Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems
  • Proficiency expert in automotive core tools
  • Proven ability to understand complex products from a broad perspective (commodity knowledge)
  • Ability to obtain and assess information fairly, communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, react calmly/quickly in stressful situations
  • Exhibit core characteristics of professionalism: competence, economically efficient behavior, knowledge, conscientiousness, integrity, respect, emotional intelligence, appropriateness, and confidence
  • Ability and willingness to travel 75% of time (domestic and international travel)

Responsibilities

  • The Supplier Quality auditor is responsible to prepare, plan and conduct potential analysis and/or process audits of suppliers manufacturing processes on behalf of the procurement organization
  • Organize interdisciplinary team to support risk mitigation during potential analysis preparations
  • Audits are to be conducted according to the VDA 6.3 method and to monitor the compliance of Traton Commercial Vehicle Standards (CVS10)
  • Prepare, complete, and distribute the audit reports
  • Work with the suppliers action plan to jointly review the counter measures and verify each finding is addressed for continuous improvement
  • Present audit results and status of supplier developed action plan to management
  • Conclude audit with receipt of 90 day completed action plan from supplier
