About The Position

As a Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist at Héroux-Devtek, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of deliveries from our suppliers, in compliance with our standards and those of our customers. Reporting to the Supplier Quality Assurance Director, your role will involve auditing and training suppliers, conducting risk analyses, and resolving non-quality events by investigating root causes. You will work closely with various stakeholders to implement and monitor performance indicators and support the verification of First Article Inspections (FAIs). Your focus will also include identifying future risks and making continuous improvement recommendations to promote a quality-driven culture throughout the company.

Requirements

• Undergraduate university degree in engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of the AS9100 standard and interpretation of drawings including geometric tolerancing (GD&T).
• In-depth knowledge of machining methods and surface treatments used in aeronautics is a major asset.
• Must be prepared to travel frequently and unscheduled to suppliers.
• Capacity for functional written and spoken communications in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Audit and train suppliers, conduct risk analyses in partnership with key players in the process.
• Establish, improve, and evaluate supplier skills based on performance indicators.
• Involvement in resolving non-quality events by investigating root causes and obtaining corrective actions from suppliers.
• Work closely with buyers, quality directors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure implementation and monitoring of performance indicators.
• Support the verification of First Article Inspections (FAIs) and inspection sources.
• Investigate and identify future risks while focusing on cost reduction.
• Make continuous improvement recommendations with a problem-solving approach.
• Promote a quality-driven culture throughout the company.
