About The Position

The Supplier Quality Engineering Associate (SQE-A) is responsible for assisting the supplier quality engineers in assessments, source verifications, report writing, and general monitoring of the supply base. In addition, they are responsible for: The review of procurement documents for flow down and inclusion of quality requirements; assistance in developing inspection and test acceptance criteria Assisting in the resolution of non-conformances by ensuring proper development of objective evidence; developing plans and assisting in supplier audits and surveillances; and applying sound systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving supplier quality issues Oversight of the Quality Approved Suppliers List (QASL); Certification Reviews for updates to or additions of suppliers on the QASL; maintenance of the Master Supplier's List (EFCOG) Interacting with suppliers and internal or external stakeholders through formal and informal communications and project collaborations Participation in continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • OR Master's degree
  • OR Associate's degree: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
  • OR 8 or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline plus 5 or more years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated skills in reviewing procurement documentation, and reading and interpreting engineering drawings, procedures, codes, and standards
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance programs, such as ASME NQA-1, ISO-9001, and DOE Order 414
  • Familiarity with commercial grade dedication, as well as suspect/counterfeit program elements
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of computer software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
