About The Position

Eaton's Aerospace division is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Analyst - Castings in our Euclid, Ohio facility! This is an onsite, Monday - Friday role, aligned to a 1st shift schedule. This role also involves travel to suppliers up to 10% of the time, to qualify them to cast for this Eaton Aerospace location. The expected annual salary range for this role is $56250.0 - $82500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This position is focused in castings, receiving inspection and supplier source inspection. It will also support others in the qualifying of our suppliers in regards to casting. The Supplier Quality Analyst - Castings, is responsible for inspection of purchased castings. They are also the supplier support to the team responsible for the design, manufacture, assembly and testing of internally manufactured products and purchased parts. In addition, they support issues such as MRB review, Cost Out, Reduction in DPPM, and Improvement Initiatives. They are responsible for supporting the procurement process by understanding, communicating, and reacting to quality requirements relative to all products and suppliers who provide purchased materials and processes to the Eaton manufacturing site. These purchase subcomponents and processes are used to support the design, manufacture, sale, and service of Eaton Corporation's products to the Aerospace Industry.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • A minimum three (3) years' experience in a sand castings aluminum environment
  • Minimum one (1) year of quality inspection experience in a foundry/aluminum casting environment
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in engineering
  • Aerospace Quality Management experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in a foundry/metal casting environment or providing quality oversight at foundries or casting machine shops
  • Understanding of GD&T application in casting and machining processes
  • Willing to travel to suppliers throughout Ohio regarding castings' qualification
  • Familiarity with castings and processes and machining of castings preferably aluminum
  • Familiarity with special processes, particularly FPI and NDT used at foundries
  • Experience with FAI Reviews and Approvals
  • Eaton Euclid's castings are 20-40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection of purchased castings at Eaton receiving inspection or supplier source inspection.
  • Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements
  • Drive reductions in Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), Scrap and improvement in First Pass Yield (FPY) of purchased products.
  • Support response to customer requested corrective action and support of customers regarding purchased materials.
  • Support operations through timely disposition of supplier related nonconforming materials found during manufacturing and requiring corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Support operations by interfacing with suppliers to drive corrective action through DMRs to get full root cause analysis, determination of permanent corrective actions, and implementation and follow-up of corrective actions.
  • Perform Supplier audits as necessary in accordance with Eaton's requirements to approve new suppliers and help monitor existing suppliers.
  • Report on supplier performance. Provide information to Quality Management in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements.
