As part of our global team, you'll be empowered to make a real impact—on your career, your community, and the world around you The Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient supply chain operations for customer‑managed inventory locations. This position is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, coordinating replenishment and logistics, and performing monthly reconciliations to maintain alignment between customer‑reported usage and SAP records. The SMI Coordinator also manages sales order creation, invoicing accuracy, and supports month‑end close activities across assigned Sales Organizations. In this role, you will build strong relationships with both customers and internal partners, serve as an SAP subject matter expert, and provide training and guidance on customer service and inventory processes. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, cross‑functional projects, and audit activities. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, skilled in problem-solving, and experienced in inventory management and logistics across domestic and export channels

Requirements

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years in customer service, supply chain coordination, or inventory management, including domestic and international logistics.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SAP (MRP, order entry, inventory transactions) and strong knowledge of forecasting tools and web-based inventory platforms.
  • Core Skills: Exceptional communication (verbal, written, digital), strong organizational and time management abilities, and high attention to detail.
  • Leadership & Problem-Solving: Ability to lead training sessions, support cross-functional initiatives, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Customer Focus & Flexibility: Skilled in building strong customer relationships and comfortable with travel for customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish inventory at customer sites using SAP MRP and forecasting tools; reconcile customer-reported usage with SAP records monthly.
  • Order Processing & Invoicing: Generate accurate sales orders and invoices; resolve billing issues and ensure timely month-end close for designated sales organizations.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance); communicate account activity and support audits.
  • Continuous Improvement & Leadership: Identify process improvements, lead SAP/customer service training sessions, and act as delegate for the Supervisor when needed.
  • Project & Compliance Support: Participate in cross-functional projects and audits related to inventory, reconciliation, and financial processes.
  • Travel: Support customer engagement through occasional travel.
