About The Position

Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Supervisor on a Government contract with a place of performance at Fort Bliss, TX. The supervisor supervises the mission, workload management and provide leadership to 21 employees. The supervisor is responsible and accountable for all administrative responsibilities, accountability for personnel, and mission completion. Operates equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life; equipment may include, but is not limited to, Fork-lift 10k or higher, RTCH (Kalmar) 50k, and various types of equipment. Supports assigned missions operating Heavy Equipment: Material Handling Equipment support movements. Performs daily Preventive Maintenance Checks (PMCS) on equipment prior to operation and at completion of mission task assignment or at end of work shift. Be able to support additional tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 plus years of leadership work experience operating heavy equipment required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain license following on the job training, operating each type of equipment required to operate one of several types of heavy equipment such as 10K or 12K Forklift, 50 Ton Rough Terrain Container Handler, and a variety material handling equipment/forklifts.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Available to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent 18 years of age.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility.
  • Must have formal supervisor skills in the Transportation Department.
  • Must be computer literate, proficient in MS Windows-based applications, as well as MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be prepared to observe and practice all safety, security, and health requirements as per Technica policies and standards.
  • Required to observe all safety and health requirements for office environment. Must have a neat and professional appearance.
  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during a flexible scheduled work week.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environment conditions including dust, high, and low temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Must be willing to upload military vehicles and equipment on to trailers and other secondary platforms.
  • Knowledge of equipment safety, maintenance, and storage.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently to understand equipment load charts and coordinate movement to the standard of the project.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other people and additional knowledge/skills may be required by assignment.

Nice To Haves

  • Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), 88H and/or 88M.
  • Prefer Heavy Equipment Operator training and certificate from a verifiable military or civilian field.
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License

  • Inspect, clean, and perform operator level maintenance on equipment in accordance with standards.
  • Closely interact with the customer for movement of materials and equipment.
  • Perform and supervise daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
  • Follow and ensure related safety regulations, contract requirements, company policies, and operating procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure equipment is properly utilized, maintained, and stored.
  • Complete necessary documentation, reporting, and office duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
