About The Position

The Facilities Supervisor leads a team to perform routine and preventive maintenance across the entire property. This role requires working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building controls, and fire safety systems. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that work orders and projects are completed in a timely manner using a computer-based program, effectively communicating work details, and following up through to completion. Other duties include ordering necessary parts and inventory, creating team schedules, approving time off requests, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The supervisor must adhere to all company and departmental policies and standards, understand and follow work and safety rules, and maintain a positive influence on Team Member morale.

Requirements

  • Experience leading a team with positive influence and build team morale
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Working knowledge of building maintenance
  • Knowledge and experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire safety systems
  • Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools
  • Working knowledge of plumbing repairs, familiar with soldering, brazing and drain cleaning equipment
  • Working knowledge of electrical repairs, able to change outlets, GFCIs, switches, light fixtures and repair light fixtures, able to read wiring schematics
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems to include change a/c filters, clean condensing fans, clean coils, read gauges, and temperatures accurately and understand principles, able to thread and install gas pipe, and familiar with the fundamentals of air conditioning, heating and refrigeration
  • Boiler knowledge
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Must be flexible, detail oriented, able to prioritize and able to multi-task effectively
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, changing environment with multiple distractions and meet timelines
  • Must uphold appearance standards
  • Ability to problem solve and strategize for better solutions
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • One (1) year experience, preferably in a Hotel/Casino environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to perform routine and preventive maintenance property wide
  • Work daily with personal hand tools and company owned power tools
  • Ensure that work orders and projects are completed as assigned through computer-based program in a timely manner
  • Effectively communicate details of work orders and follow up through to completion
  • Ensure parts and inventory needs are ordered
  • Responsible for creating schedule and approving time off requests
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Follow lawful direction from Upper Management
  • Understand and follow work and safety rules and procedures
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on Team Member morale
  • Responsible for adhering to all company and departmental policies and standards
  • Other duties as assigned
