About The Position

Coordinates clinical activities; makes decisions and assists in expediting the needs of the WIC clinic staff; supervises and supports staff, and oversees compliance of program policies and procedures at tribal clinic locations. Develops and conducts staff training; evaluates applicant to determine eligibility; provides counseling; monitors and analyzes program data; provides program information at meetings, and oversees assigned inventory. Assures courteous and respectful service to the public.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a nutrition field; or six (6) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • An additional two (2) years of related experience is required
  • Knowledge of Database software
  • Knowledge of Human Resource systems
  • Knowledge of Internet software
  • Knowledge of Word Processing software
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating
  • Must have knowledge of and the ability to operate standard computer programs
  • Must have completed or complete within one year of employment, a vocational training program in nutrition education with a composite score of 85% or greater
  • Required to have certification in breastfeeding counseling or education within one year of employment
  • Employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
