About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all day-to-day operations of the warehouse team, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials. This role is responsible for supervising domestic and international shipping, hazardous materials compliance, inventory control, and team development. The Supervisor serves as a key liaison between Logistics, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Accounting, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the warehouse. Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-4pm

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse environment
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems
  • Experience with hazardous materials handling and compliance (DOT, IATA, or similar regulations)
  • Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Supervision Direct and oversee daily activities of Warehouse Associates and Senior Associates.
  • Supervise and mentor team members in all warehouse functions, including training, certification tracking, and performance development.
  • Ensure team members operate within the scope of their certifications (forklift, DOT, IATA).
  • Support coworker engagement and lead safety initiatives, including regular safety checks and compliance with OSHA and company policies.
  • Maintain Emergency Eyewash Refill logs and ensure timely completion of safety-related tasks.
  • Shipping & Logistics Oversight Ensure outgoing shipments are complete, accurate, and compliant with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents including bills of lading, air bills, and dangerous goods declarations.
  • Oversee domestic, international, LTL, and hazmat shipments.
  • Prevent unauthorized shipping of hazardous materials by unqualified personnel.
  • Inventory & Quality Control Oversee inventory control processes including cycle counts, labeling, and reconciliation.
  • Identify and coordinate disposal of nonconforming and expired materials.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal departments to resolve late shipments, open order issues, freight claims, vendor shipping discrepancies, and billing issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between warehouse operations and other departments to ensure smooth coordination and issue resolution.
  • Process Improvement & Compliance Promote and enforce safety and operational standards (AS/ISO, Export Control, TCP).
  • Identify improvement opportunities and present recommendations to management.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, reduce errors, and improve workflow.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP tools to monitor performance, track shipments, and manage inventory.
  • Other Duties Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
  • Perform duties in compliance with AS/ISO standards and applicable accounting procedures.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned in support of departmental and company goals.
