About The Position

Responsible for supervising Valet and Shuttle parking services. Will assist in the direct supervision of Valet staff in duties including but not limited to developing necessary training of staff, employee retention; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

  • The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
  • High School or GED Equivalent
  • Drivers License - Licensing Board Upon Hire
  • 1-3 years valet service experience or one year of supervision experience

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or two years of college

Responsibilities

  • Engages in continuous development of critical thinking skills necessary to mitigate parking.
  • Oversees valet operations on a daily basis.
  • Greets patients and visitors; directs to the appropriate location while creating a positive image of Avera. Offers assistance to guests when needed.
  • Operates guest's vehicle in a safe manner and makes sure the vehicle is locked after parking in the designated area to assure security of valuables.
  • Keeps the valet areas and front of buildings clear of vehicles and long-term parking; keeps count of vehicles parked in designated valet areas.
  • Prepares communications such as daily valet parking reports and assists in development of policies and procedures.
  • Keeps leadership informed of needs, problems, and activities. Assists with investigations of incidents and prepares incident reports or other documents that convey required information.
  • Prepares work assignments, and schedules required to meet service level expectations at assigned locations.
  • Reconciles time and attendance submitted to actual assigned and approved.
  • Develops and completes monthly reports as directed.
  • Trains team members, monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, and represents the team in communication with the leadership team.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
