A career in Utility Services will provide the opportunity to be responsible for all field work relating to utility management. This typically includes ensuring all meters, both residential and commercial, comply with state regulations. This role will require solid understanding of the processes, procedures and systems to produce high-quality work on fairly standard problems within the discipline. You will solve moderately complex problems and consider relative value of several alternative solutions to potential issues, before making a recommendation to the path forward. Additionally, you will use analytical skills and judgment to recommend a "best" solution. It is expected that your decisions will impact the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the department. Roles within Utility Services are responsible for and closely intertwined with all dispatch and utility operations pertaining to scheduled maintenance and emergency response. The team is responsible for demand forecast planning and working with resource management to meet business goals and objectives in addition to compliance work while providing best in class customer service. This position supervises unionized field operation employees who complete meter reading routes (both electronic and manual), atmospheric corrosion checks, inside leak surveys, paint meter connections, perform regular locks, field collections, turn-ons, meter changes, gas leak reporting, and diversion of service.
