Visit us online at: https://www.nwths.com/careers Position: Supervisor - Telecommunications Position Summary: This position is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of the Telecommunications Department and oversees staff in support of the business office in handling other business office duties as needed, along with the control for their ongoing assessment and improvement activities. Such responsibilities encompass not only the internal functioning of the telecommunications department, but also coordinating and assisting in business office duties as the integration of all these services into the overall functioning of Northwest Texas Healthcare System. This position supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, flexibility, self-motivated, good supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills preferred.
  • Computer experience recommended.
  • Two-five years of job related experience.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others.
  • Ability to remain calm under stress.
  • Ability to respond to pages, telephones, and other auditory stimulation.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.
  • Bending, lifting (10-20 lbs.), grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing and pulling, prolonged standing or sitting.
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data.
  • Ability to tolerate low noise levels for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to function when exposed to hazardous chemicals and/or biological materials.
  • Ability to discriminate color.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates leadership in the provision of Telecommunication efforts through a collaborative process designed to integrate services/functions throughout NWTHS.
  • Coordinates and participates in and supports a process to measure, assess, and improve performance of Telecommunication for the Business Systems Department.
