The successful candidate will supervise and lead teams responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of Modern Woodmen’s applications. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or comparable field and 5+ years’ related work experience.
  • Strong leadership abilities to coach employees to accomplish strategic goals and related tasks, recruit, select, train, motivate, and manage employee performance.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle, project management and vendor/resource management.
  • Be firm, yet flexible in order to meet ever-changing stakeholder demands, as well as being personable.
  • High degree of adaptability and tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate and translate technical issues and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and supervise the work of Application Systems Analysts/Programmers responsible for the Modern Woodmen’s systems, applications, reporting, developing and supporting the enterprise applications.
  • Monitor and review the work performance of the Applications Systems Analysts/Programmers and provide training and mentoring as needed to assure timely and accurate processing of all projects and functions.
  • Plan, direct, and assist in building integration interfaces between multi-vendor software packages.
  • Assist in defining, developing, and preparing specifications for new systems supporting business requirements.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Act as a liaison and coordinate projects with business departments, Enterprise Project Management Office, and Project Approval and Prioritization Boards.
  • Coordinate projects with the Infrastructure and Solution sections to ensure the integrity and impact of systems and programming changes.
  • Ensure project documentation is completed in accordance with the Society’s Software Development Life Cycle requirements.
  • Stay current on changes and improvements to system processors and programming techniques.
  • Keep the Manager, Information Technology Solutions abreast of project schedules, employee performance concerns or issues that affect the Information Technology function.

Benefits

  • Pay: The annual salary range for this position is $111,000-$118,000. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
