This pivotal role as Social Work Supervisor offers the chance to significantly impact our team's growth and success. You will lead, mentor, and inspire our dedicated social workers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Collaborating closely with the Social Work Manager, the Education Specialist, and other key stakeholders, you will champion team development, education, training, and technology initiatives. This unique role combines leadership with direct clinical practice. As a supervisor, you will oversee the Social Work Section, while also maintaining a clinical workload. You will provide expert guidance and support to team members, ensuring their clinical practice aligns with the needs of the respective medical specialties.

Requirements

  • To be considered for this position, you must possess a master's degree in social work and at least three years of social work experience in a medical setting.
  • A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license from the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling is required.
  • Candidates with LCSW in states outside of Florida may be considered but will be required to obtain Florida licensure prior to start date.

  • Current employees who have not met their 1- or 2-year commitment to their current department/position must attach an early release approval from their supervisor.
  • Detailed international equivalency for foreign degrees (see 'International Degree Requirements ' below).

The evaluation must be completed by an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) ( www.naces.org) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) ( www.aice-eval.org) .

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive supervision, direction, and guidance to the Social Work Team.
  • Analyzes work processes to improve outcomes and services.
  • Manages staffing schedule and assignments.
  • Oversees the orientation and performance management of staff.
  • Participates in section/practice group planning and special projects.
  • Serves as OP Social Work leadership representative for Florida and enterprise workgroups.
  • Participates in interview panels for new hires, performance appraisals, and coaching opportunities.
  • Adheres to the NASW Code of Ethics and NASW Standards for Social Work Practice in Healthcare Settings.
