About The Position

Ford is seeking a Supervisor, Scheduling to join their Manufacturing team. This role is critical for the end-to-end synchronization of vehicle production sequencing, broadcast accuracy, and inventory flow. The supervisor will manage the daily "blend" of the production line, ensuring vehicle options, volumes, and sequences align with the Plant Operating Plan. This position serves as the primary liaison between Central Vehicle Scheduling (CVS), Production, Engineering, and external vendors to ensure a seamless transition from body/paint through to final delivery, contributing to the production of world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months or more of related experience in a manufacturing plant environment (coop and internship experience will be considered)
  • Proficiency in automotive manufacturing systems (e.g., CMMS, NGAVS, OPTESSA, GVS, SharePoint)
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data sets, including Weekly Option Rate reports and daily blend reports.
  • Validated ability to communicate technical broadcast updates to production teams and coordinate with external ILVS vendors.
  • Ability to master vehicle status codes and the ability to manage precise "restart" worksheets and solve tables.
  • Proven problem-solving ability needed to resolve broadcast expansion errors and inventory status discrepancies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity while maintaining a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations
  • Two-way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers
  • Ability to flex daytime schedule during busy period, including weekends and off shifts, as required by the business

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Data Analysis or related field
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing plant environment (coop and internship experience will be considered)
  • Safety and quality experience
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Control (FAP02-057) and Quality Verification Systems (VOPQUG-265)
  • Experience managing "Special Order" units (VSO) or show-unit (e.g., Detroit Show) processing
  • Prior tenure working in a unionized environment

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily blend reports to ensure 5/6 day line systems are maintained.
  • Utilize OPTESSA to facilitate pull-ahead and sequencing requirements for Body and Paint departments.
  • Coordinate model year broadcast solve tables with Codification Analysts.
  • Update local solves for pre-build events and ECN requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the 8502 TELEDATA and floor communication systems (AIS Boxes).
  • Manage vehicle status updates across multiple platforms, including NGAVS, CMMS, and GVS.
  • Track units through over 20 status codes (from submission to final sale).
  • Conduct annual constraint reviews during launch and coordinate with CVS on the "Get Ready" process.
  • Maintain the Get Ready Letter and adjust control items as required.
  • Publish weekly Option Rate reports, Delivery Scorecards, and DPR Model Tracking.
  • Manage all restart request documentation and broadcast solve maintenance records via SharePoint.
  • Support Autoport and Quality Control to resolve status issues with finished vehicles.
  • Manage "Late Unit" monitoring, unit restarts, and yard/plant quality holds.
  • Coordinate invoice processing and rotation sequencing.
  • Work closely with Process Engineers, Material Handling, and the Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) to resolve broadcast errors promptly.
  • Lead the tracking for MP&L during model year balance outs, pre-builds, and launches.
  • Coordinate Trim Cut-In/Cut-Out requests and ensure all balance-out units are purged from systems at year-end.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects, while applying innovative solutions with a customer-first mindset.
