About The Position

The Registered Nurse Supervisor will provide supervision and evaluate clinical staff (RN, LPN, MA, tech, and CCA) and participate in the evaluation of clerical staff in collaboration with their documented supervisor. Will be responsible for coordinating daily practice activities and ensuring adequate coverage and appropriate staffing. Will provide clinical nursing assessment, support, counseling, and direct patient care in a physicians office setting. Will work in collaboration with other health care providers and ancillary services. Will participate with management in the development and initiation of practice specific policies, protocols, and critical pathways. Will assist with budget development and monitor fiscal compliance. Will supervise clinical staff and maintain mandatory regulatory institutional policy and procedures under the direction and in collaboration with the Practice Manager and Medical Director.

Requirements

  • Required to have graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing and hold licensure as Registered Nurse
  • Four years of ambulatory care or hospital RN experience; may include LPN or MA experience
  • Must have work experience that demonstrates abilities of leading and directing the work of others
  • Current licensure by the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification or must be obtained within the first month of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience or formal supervisory training preferred
  • Proven ability to display initiative, multitask, problem solve, and be a team player is essential
  • Certification in area of specialty preferred
