Join us and play an important part on our incredible team! What you get to do: Responsible for managing Safety Specialist performance. Provide oversight of Safety Specialist daily tasks (accident investigations, audits, inspections, training etc.) Develops weekly schedules for the team to ensure coverage of park hours is met by Safety Specialists. Provide training to Safety Specialists to ensure they have knowledge of their scope of work. Provide formal and informal feedback on Safety Specialist performance and making recommendations related to progressive discipline (when deemed necessary). Ensure that general liability database is maintained and updated. Ensure accident investigation database is updated with Safety Specialist notes. Ensure claims are filed with TPA within established timeline. Conduct quarterly case evaluation update meetings for senior leadership. Corresponds with guests regarding loss and possible claims. Enter guest claims into general liability database and manage priority levels. Assist in preparation of general liability safety reports while also maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal recordkeeping requirements. Attends in-person and virtual claims review meetings. Assists in organizing claim information for litigated and non-litigated claims. Produces and analyzes technical reports to highlight park performance and identify trends. Participates in general liability inspections and develops corrective action plans to eliminate hazards. Establish and maintain a positive atmosphere to ensure the highest level of Safety Specialist performance and guest service. Attend safety meetings as required as well as general liability sensitive meetings. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management preferred or minimum one year experience working in related fields.
  • General knowledge of insurance claims and general liability.
  • General knowledge of OSHA regulations and related laws
  • Possession of valid state driver’s license
  • Must be able to meet requirements and competencies of the Safety Specialist role.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in technical and leadership skills.
  • Must have strong analytical aptitude, strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to manage successfully in stressful situations, multitask, make quick decisions, troubleshoot problems, and adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to present to large groups.
  • Must be able to mentor and develop personnel.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Must be able to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.
  • Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform duties/tasks of the position within scope of supervision and willing to perform additional tasks required by higher business levels.
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire shift and climbing/ascending heights (if needed).
