What you get to do: Determines distribution of workload, anticipates staffing for downtime periods, and ensures appropriate employee rotation for development. Ensures employee development and adherence to performance standards of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment and PLC as needed. Communicates training activities including diagnostic and troubleshooting and professional certifications. Ensuring Quality Assurance Inspections on rides, attractions and elevators. Writes, reviews and authorizes standard operating procedures. Evaluates work efficiencies, processes and methods; monitors key performance metrics. Recommends process improvements. Participates in SEA ride audits. Works closely with Ride Operations team to ensure ride operates safely and efficiently. Coordinates with government agencies to keep permits and certifications current. Anticipates repairs of equipment requiring outside vendors. Completes work orders. Ensures accurate timekeeping. Provides coaching and written corrective action as needed; partners with manager to administer serious level corrective action. Coordinates the delivery of annual performance reviews and ongoing performance feedback as needed. Communicates effectively; leads daily work meetings; positively conveys company priorities and upcoming events. Listens and responds to employee concerns; positively resolves workplace issues. Ensures excellent customer service by anticipating and responding to customer requirements, expectations, and needs. Spends and forecasts within assigned labor and expense budget. Ensures coordination for replacement of large and/or non-routine equipment orders. Schedules and adjusts labor per budget. Maintains a safe work environment and safe work practices are followed; ensures employees receive all required safety training, equipment and supplies. Conducts all accident investigations and conduct follow up review with employees. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • At least 5 years experience in Rides Maintenance or related field.
  • At least 2 years supervising or managing a work group to include assigning and evaluating work, performance feedback, training and development, and financial responsibility or an area or division.
  • Have a valid Florida driver’s license; visiting students and military must have a valid driver’s license from state of residency and able to provide a copy of the DMV report.
  • Must be able to meet requirements to drive Company vehicles.
  • Able to obtain AIMS or NAARSO certification within 2 years of obtaining position.
  • Have a thorough operational knowledge of rides maintenance procedures, methods, repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Have proficient knowledge of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to present to small groups of people.
  • Be able to successfully work in and lead a team.
  • Have the ability to collaborate with other functions and departments to complete job duties.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills to include team building, influence, inspiration and negotiation.
  • Have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
  • Mathematical skills such as conversions, measuring, and calculating areas and or volume.
  • Able to use hand tools and precision measuring devices.
  • Able to problem solve and troubleshoot issues.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret, manuals, reports, and documents.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to work around moving mechanical parts, at heights up to 320 feet, and in confined spaces.
  • Able to safely operate mechanical equipment such as forklifts, small boats, electric carts and manlifts.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions such as wet, humid and direct sunlight.
  • Able to frequently stand, walk, sit, talk, see, smell, hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Able to use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach, push or pull with hands and arms.
  • Able to work 5 days varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include early morning, late evening, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in job related systems such as SAP, Park Ware, KRONOS, and TMM preferred.
