Refugee Resettlement assists in helping create a home-away-from-home, we assist government-approved refugees in becoming self-sufficient through cultural orientation, job development, family reunification and resettlement. The Supervisor, Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) is responsible for monitoring and assessing eligibility for refugees, asylees, and others eligible for refugee services for RCA payments. The Supervisor, RCA oversees the RCA Case Managers, File Clerks, and other staff working in the RCA program. The successful candidate will display strong leadership skills, be detail oriented.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Two (2) years of experience in social service or related setting
  • One (1) years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of leadership principles and best practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to influence others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Experience with applicable software e.g. MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and supervision of Case Managers and support staff. Monitor performance, provides training and development.
  • Monitor and assess eligibility for refugees, asylees, and others eligible for refugee services for RCA payments.
  • Collect appropriate income information to determine client eligibility as appropriate.
  • Refer clients to employment program within 24 hours of enrollment in RCA program. Ensure files are maintained for all enrolled clients.
  • Track client input in Client Track and Refugee Management Solutions (RMS).
  • Prepare the materials needed to monitor compliance of RCA clients.
  • Request compliance information from Job Developers on a monthly basis. Ensure that checks are disbursed to clients per program guidelines. Be familiar with RCA compliance guidelines.
  • Providing transportation assistance and translation services for clients as needed.
  • Maintaining clients' files and assuring completeness and compliance with funding requirements. Entering all data to Client Track accurately and timely.
  • Oversees clerical and support services, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Performing other duties assigned by the Program Manager, performing employment services functions: attending meetings with other service providers, participating in staff retreats, United Way tours, agency fairs and speaking engagements, assisting with special organizational projects/events, etc.
