Summary : The Supervisor, Radiology is an operational leader responsible for organizing and supervising all functions of the areas of responsibility. Is responsible for effective operations and ensures that requirements for quality, service, and value are met or exceeded. Is responsible for staff management and for creating a professional practice environment that focuses on the customer and quality. Job Description: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Creates a professional practice environment that focuses on the customer and ensures that the environment is safe for team members, patients, and visitors within the department. Works with the manager to evaluate and determine work assignments. Evaluates job performance and recognizes performances. Maintains and improves patient access service standards developed for each modality, and ensures schedules are maximized. Maintains adequate staffing levels to meet demand based on established benchmarks. Applies standards and guidelines that ensure high quality and service in the daily work of the department. Works collaboratively with others (i.e., medical staff, managers/team members from other departments and divisions) to promote communication and to achieve goals by working interdependently. Develops, coordinates, and maintains performance improvement criteria, and manages quality assurance and quality improvement activities within the imaging department. QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree in radiology, science, business, education, or related fields One year of experience in radiology • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)/ARRT (if a licensed radiographer) Wisconsin license (if a licensed radiographer) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance. Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. Occasional high noise level in work environment. • Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents. Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients. Requirements
