Supervisor, Production POSITION PURPOSE The Production Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and supervising maintenance tasks preformed on facilities and equipment. The Production Supervisor will oversee mechanics/electricians, support personnel that repair and maintain equipment.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree or technical certificate in mechanics or electronics and 5+ years' experience

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 4-year degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering Technology with 3+ years' experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency and implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles (TPM, Kaizen, 5S, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and monitor a plant TPM master plan, including implementation of OEE (overall equipment effectiveness)
  • Supervision, planning, and control of the plant’s CMMS, including effective spare parts management
  • Manage new or modified equipment / facility installations to include identifying & purchasing initial spare parts and implementing TPM procedures
  • Provide key input to the facility capital planning, capital appropriations request, & implementation processes
  • Analyze equipment failures, implement corrective action, and develop process improvements
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance of facility building and grounds, including HVAC, compressed air, waste water treatment, office equipment, etc.
  • Close interaction with plant team including Operations, Quality, Materials, and Safety
  • Supports the annual budget process for the facility fiscal budget; estimates staffing and capital equipment needs based upon recent trends and planned activities; monitors expenditures after budget adoption; approves requisitions for purchase of materials or supplies
  • Participates in the interviewing and hiring of new staff ; prioritizes, assigns and reviews work, approves time off for payroll purposes, and prepares employee performance evaluations
